Marari Beach

Location of Marari Beach :
Marari Beach lies at the distance of 60 km south of Cochin in the state of Kerala in India. It is quite close to the Alleppey, one of the magnificent backwater sites in India. The best time to visit the beach lies between the months of October to May. Climate : The climate here is tropical. The summers are hot with the maximum temperature of 33°C. Summers mainly rests for four months in this region. Winters stats from October and remains till February, than also the temperature does not fall at the greater degrees. Monsoon can be felt in the area from June till September.

Marari Beach Historical significance :
The Marari Beach has derived from the hundred year old fishing village of Mararikulam. You can still witness the daily routine of the local fisherman taking out their boats to the sea and catching the sea. The tradition is still same as was the hundred years back.

Adventure activities :
Surfing on the Marari Beach is quite popular among the tourists holidaying at the Marari Beach. Wind surfing is the blend of surfing and sailing. For all those who want love to feel cool breeze and little drops of water on their face Surfing at the Marari Beach is the best option for them. Even wind surfing is the big mental and physical challenge for the adventure lovers. Para-sailing is also quite a fun at the Marari Beach. Parachute tied to the speed boats can be a thrilling experience. Tourists can also try out swimming at the beach. Another water sports snorkeling is fast gaining popularity at the Marari beach. Snorkeling gives you the wonderful opportunity to witness fascinating marine life of the beach. Marari Beach has been the fishing and angling sites for centuries, so you too have a good luck to try your hand in fishing and angling. You can also make picnic and party hard at the beach. Excursion from Marari beach :
The most famous attraction near the Marari beach is the Chandragiri Fort, which was the ancient capital of the Vijayanagara empire. It was built in the 17th century and lies just four kilometer from the Marari beach.

Tradition and Dress Code :
Nudity is strictly prohibited in the area. People here are still conserve. Girls should take special care not to wear small dress. It is advisable to carry light cotton clothes on your visit to the beach as the temperature is hot here.
