The Bungalow is a three storied heritage home located at Vypeen near the
Harbour mouth of Port Cochin. The main highlight of The Bungalow
is its proximity to the Fort Kochi and Fort Vypeen.
This fascinating building has a long history to tell. Established in the
year 1930, this heritage building is a blend of Portugeese, Dutch and Kerala
architectures. This is an ideal destination for those visitors who wants to
enjoy the rural charm of Kerala.
The location of this beautiful heritage home is very suitable for those
holidaymakers who wants to enjoy the rustic ambiance of Kerala. You can
reach Vypeen through ferries, which are available at the High Court Jetty
(Ernakulum). Ernakulum town is the nearest railway station and Cochin is the
nearest International Airport to reach Vypeen.
Facilities
The Bungalow is a spacious three storied building in which the host family
lives in the ground floor whereas the first floor is completely dedicated to
the guests. There are two large double bed rooms attached with bathrooms and
western style toilets. The floor and the ceilings of the rooms are made of
wood and both the floors are connected to each other with wooden staircase.
The second floor of the building has a beautiful attic which is used by the
guests for reading books and playing indoor games.
One of the major facilities provided to the guests by the host family is a
small sight seeing trip to the nearby tourists places like Fort Kochi,
Pallipuram Fort ,Cherai Beach, Puthuvypeen Beach and Cochin Lighthouse,
which is arranged on requests.
