Detailed Itinerary
As you arrive at the International airport of Delhi, soon you will be
directed to catch domestic flight for Bagdogra, 125 Km from Gangtok. Before
you land to Bagdogra, you would be well aware of the beauty of snow peaks of
Himalaya which will be be quite palpable to you if the weather is clear and
happy. The wonder wing spreads when you take 5 hour drive to Gangtok from
Bagdogra. The 1st day end with your arrival at Gangtok, and staying at a
small beautiful resort facing the snowy Himalayan peaks.
The Sikkim family travels prevails next day (2nd day) when you take a
sightseeing tour of Gangtok. The tour is nothing but a great change out of
clamour of the city. The tour includes the places like Rumtek Monastry,
Do-Drul Chorten (Stupa), Deer Park, Permanent Flower Show, Enchey Monestry,
White Hall, Ridge Park, Tashi Point View, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, and
Himalayan Zoological Park. The next destination you will be driving next day
(3rd day) will be Yuksom. The place covering many historical events will
give you beautiful glimpse of several mini lakes aganinst the Himalayan
backdrop while let you enjoy the jeep safari. Toward the 12 Km north-west
direction of Yuksom, lies the serene place called Bakhim. Reaching here on
4th day by passing through mule track, and strolling along the fast stream
of Rathong Choo stream will be a very pleasant journey.
After the overnight stay at the camp, tougher day (5th day) begin indeed as
you will proceed again to north-west in order to reach to Dzongri. Straight
ahead of Dzongri lies the magnificent Khanchendzonga, the 3rd highest peak
of the world. The close view of several Himalayan peak will fascinate you
with its amazing beauty. Thangsing- the naturalist's paradise will be
next to invite you to get bewitched with its beauty. You will reach here on
the 6th day after having 4 hour trek form Dzongri. The several uniquely
exquisite flowers make the Sikkim bloom. One more day (the 7th day), you
will stay here exploring its beauty and clicking plenty of photographs.
The arduous 8 hour trek, you will be taking next day, 8th day, to reach to
Chaurithang of Rathong Glacier. The place gives you excellent view of
several Sikkim peaks like Frey, Kokthang, Kabru, Rathong, and Chandra. After
the overnight stay here, you will explore the Zamlingang on the 9th day,
most beautiful forest area of Sikkim, lieing 10 Km from Chaurithang. The
pervading fragrance of flower magnolias here will be worth sucking all your
tiredness. From Chaurithang, on 10th day, you will return to Bakhim that
will let you pass through the trail of flowers valley giving you excellent
opportunity of Birding. From Bakhim, you will be returning to Yuksom on 11th
day from where you had started the trail. The 4 hour stroll while coming
here will be relaxing, and you will be witnessing the rural life of
sikkimese villages.
The queen of all hill station of india, Darjeeling is next on your card to
visit. Driving to Darjeeling on the 12th day will let you enjoy the
beautiful sceneries of Himalayan view, Tea plantation, and rich greenery.
Next day (13th day), for the whole day, you will be taking the exquisite
sight seeing of this amazing hillstation. The place including your
sightseeing holidays will be Chowrasta, Zoological Park, Natural history
museum, Observatory Hill, Dali and Ghoom Monastry and Tiger Hill.
The amazing Eco tour comes to end next morning, 14th day when you will be
transferred to Bagdogra airport to catch the flight for Delhi. At Delhi, our
reperesentative will be there at airport to help you catch your flight for
your onward destination.
