Location : Located at an altitude of 1767 meter above the sea level, Mirik is 49 km from Darjeeling and falls in West Bengal state of India.
Climate condition : Like Darjeeling, Mirik also has very pleasant climate. Temperature in summers ranges between 10º C-25º C and in winters it is around 5º C-12º C.
Best Time To Visit : March-May and September-November

Referred as 'Health Station' by Britishers, Darjeeling has become today one of the most popular among all hill stations of India. Himalayan Zoological Park: Very popular for inhabiting Yak, Panda, Himalayan Black Bear, Siberian Tiger and Deer, and hundreds of species of birds, Zoological Park is a hot tourist spot.

Natural History Museum: The natural museum finds its uniqueness in having a fine collection of Himalayan mammals, birds, reptiles, insects and butterflies.

Tiger Hill: Situated at altitude of 2500 meters, Tiger Hill faces closely the mighty Himalaya. Watching sunset and sunrise from Tiger Hill presents quite panoramic beauty of Himalaya

Tea Gardens: If one best thing not to be missed while on tour to Darjeeling, it is definitely its Tea Gardens. Taking a walk in hilly plantation area of tea fetches one a very salubrious and pleasant walk.

Observatory Hill: Atop the hill lies the famous Hindu and Buddhist shrine, flocked heavily by devotees every day. The hill gives a very beautiful view of Himalayan range of hills.

Ghoom: Ghoom proudly boasts of its highest railway station. Plus famous Ghoom Monastery also lies here.

Senchal Lake: The main water source of Darjeeling, Senchal Lake lies 10 km from Darjeeling. The lake with its natural beauty has become a favourite picnic spot for locals as well as tourist from outdoors.

Reaching there
By Air : Bagdogra (90 km) is the nearest airport having air link with prime destinations like Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati. Taxi and buses can be taken from the airport to Darjeeling taking approx 3 hours of pleasant drive.
By Rail : New Jalpaiguri (88 km) is the nearest railhead which is connected to all places of the country. From Delhi, Delhi-Guwahati Rajdhani Express is best way to reach Jalpaiguri. From the station, taxis and buses are easily available for Darjeeling.
By Road : Reaching Siliguri (80 km) first is the only way to drive to Darjeeling via Kurseong (32 km). The drive is comfortable and full of amazing view of natural landscapes of Himalaya.
