Always look for light weight and waterproof variety of shoes for hiking. The third and most important thing to take care of is about food. You should drink a lot of water before, during and after journey. It only prevents you from dehydration but also builds stamina while walking. The last thing is to carry a trial map and compass. No hiker should head out without knowing directions and routes as this may be frustrating.

Suggested places in Himachal include Kullu, Manikaran and Pulga. You can take one day hiking trail in Darjeeling to view its entire region. You can make a hiking tour from Darjeeling to Kuseong, Old Millitary Road, Singla, Bijabbari and Tiger Hill.
